Lucia Beccai

Lucia Beccai is a senior researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genoa, where she leads the Soft Biorobotics Perception program. She was previously a researcher at the Biorobotics Institute of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. She is the scientific coordinator of PROBOSCIS, a European project that aims to develop a new generation of bioinspired soft grasping and manipulation technology. She collaborated and had scientific responsibilities in many international projects, and she is the author of over a hundred articles published in international journals, books, and conference proceedings.
